Feb. 07, 1959 - Shots Fired in Jeweller's Hold-up - Gunmen, wearing stooking meeks, shot their way out of jeweller's shop in London's famous Burlington Aroade, Picoadilly, last night. Mr. Bob Baker, head beadle of the Aroade, had a narrow escape when one of the gunmen fired at his as he tried to her their exit from the shop. The raidorn ran to a waiting car and drove off - but were held up in a traffic jam, and thee gunn en got out of it and run. A policemen threw himself at one of the men and brought him down, as the other two raced off across Piccadilly. As they did so one of them dropped the stolen jewellery, which was in a paper bag.
