FBI - Fire Department - Police

Feb. 26 Experiments have been going on in Devon between the Army's helicopter units and the West Country police forces and their dog handlers. By using the copter as a means of loosing a fleeing person; and then dropping down and loosing a pursuit dog the task of finally capturing the wanted man is likely to be made much easier, shorter and more certain. The dogs seem to take to the air with great zest and on touch-down are ready for the final chase instantly. It is hoped that this drill will be prectised and perfected so that future manhunts on Dartumer and other lonely country areas will be carried out this way. Helidogs: the final capture: this time it is a practice exercise and the quarry has been taken with in a hundred yards of the landing place
