Mar. 03, 1962 - FIRST ONE-MAN POLICE STATION OPENED IN MEN AREA: A new one-man police station - the first in the Metropolitan Area - was opened this morning at New Addington, Surrey. It will be manned from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m daily. It has a detention room, and a private room for the policeman's meals. A telephone is in the porch for free use by members of the public - by which they can contact Groydon Police Station - direct. Keystone Photo Shows:- P.G.
