Aug. 08, 1965 - Rooftop Man Defies Police: Police and firemen were this afternoon defied by a man armed a knife and a stick, on the roof of a terraced house in Church-read, Manor Park. A crowd which gathered below were pelted with tiles he had prised from the roof with the stick. Eventually two men persuaded him to come down.
