Jul. 20, 1968 - Armed Police Hunt for Man: More than 100 Police, many of them armed with revolvers today stepped up the hunt for a man, believed to be armed with a swan -off Shot gun, in woods near Wendover. The Police are searching 15 square miles of woodland near the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Levett, who were clubbed about the head in their home at The Hale, near Wendover, early Yesterday. Today they were still in Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital, Aylesbury, where their condition is said to be Satisfactory'. Police said last night they wished to interview Patrick Royston Carey, aged 35, who they thought might be able to assist them in their inquiries.
