Dec. 29, 1971 - Search for the Cologne Bankrobbers: Also the police was busy searching for the three bank robbers who assaulted a bank in Cologne on December 27th and carried off DM 300, 000, - ($ 100.000) it was impossible to find the robbers. After they freed the two policemen whom they took as hostages they walked off and disappeared in a wood near the German-French border. All the border crossing are guarded strongly and also on the French side numereos police are on duty.
