Feb. 02, 1974 - Anarchist terror organisation wiped out by German police forces in Hamburg and Frankfurt/M. On February 4th, at 4 a.m. Special police forces have arrested in Frankfurt/m. four terrorists who had rented an apartment on the 10th floor of a big apartment house. At the same tine three more members were seized in a 7th floor apartment of a Hamburg apartment house. The terrorists are believed to belong to a successor organization of the Baader Meinhof-gang whose main members had been taking into custody in June 1972 already and are waiting for their trial yet. It was a joint police action at the same time in both cities after the suspicious person had been covered for several months. In both apartments the police found large quantities of firearms, tummy guns, contact mines, hand grenades and explosive for fabricating bombs. Also discovered were 20, 000 Marks and also foreign currency, as well as 50 forged passports. Later on there were more suspicious person arrested, one of them in the Netherlands, who are considered of having sympathised with the terror group. Among the persons taken into custody were three who had been sentenced previously and freed on probations which they had not kept.
