Feb. 21, 1981 - Pollution Of Cut Beaches Could Cause Death: Yesterday Mr. Marcus Fox, Under-Secretary of State for the Environment, went to a fact finding tour of the Isle of wight and Hampshire Beaches where more than 2000 containers of dangerous chemicals.have been washed up from the deck of Aeolian Sky, which sunk off the coasts in November last year. Rear Admiral Michael Stacey, head of the Government's maritime pollution unite who accompanied the Minister said the International regulations which compel ships to carry highly toxio cargoes on open decks may have to be changed as a result of sinking of this Greek freighters.
