Fifth victim of strangler found in Acton, West London
Jul. 07, 1964 - The Strangler strikes again - another prostitute's naked body is found in Acton, West London. Scotland Yard believed last night that the man they are seeking for the murder of street girl Mary Fleming may be the most dangerous sex maniac since John Christie, killer of six women. They think he has an obsession about murdering prostitutes and fear that unless he is found he will kill again. Mary Fleming, aged 31, is the fifth prostitute to have been murdered in West London in eight months. Her naked body was found early yesterday in a quiet cul-de-sac at errymade Road, Acton, the same where the naked bodies of the other four prostitutes were dumped.
