D Day - most fateful day in History.: Filming is now in progress in France of The Longest Day - depicting the activities of and before D Day - June 6th. 1944 - one of the most fateful days in history. Many of the scenes are being shot on the actual battle fronts in Normandy. Photo shows general view around the conference table - deliberating the D Day operations.
