Finger, Schuchart and Lipps on trial for war crimes, Munich
Mar. 03, 1972 - Former SS leaders on trial in Munich: 30 years after they are said to have taken part in shooting Jews in South Russia, three former members of a Special Command of the SS are on trial in Munich now. Two of them are police officers. Karl Finger (62), Siegfried Schuchart (56) and Theo Lipps (57) are accused of thousandfold murder. The bill of indictments says Children and babies were taken to the execution places, many children fell into the burial holes still alive. Some of the mothers turned round before being killed and asked the riflemen to kill them and their child with one shot. Karl Finger, former SS-main combat leader and the other two combat leaders belonged to the commando 10b which cleaned up between the Crimea and in the Caucasus-area.
