Fishing - Hunting - Skeet Shooting - Trapping
Oct. 10, 1955 - THE BUTCHER GOES HUNTING - AND HIS TIGER GOES TOO.. When Mr. James Walton - the Local Butcher at Chester-Le-Street, Co. Durham goes hunting - he takes his pet along with him.. His pet is Ranee a ten months old tiger.. Ranee owes his life to Mr. Walton - for early this year a tiger at Edinburgh Zoo gave birth to a litter of four - and as she had two litters before - of five and three - and none of them survived - the Zoo called on Mr. Walton to foster two of them. They others died - but Mr. Walton's two lived up - and now Ranee is the only survivor. She weighs 120 lbs and is steadily growing.
