Mar. 02 International Lair-Hunting Contest In Czechoslovakia: A three-day lair-hunting contest, organized within the framework of the International Dog-Breeding Day held, this year, in Czechoslovakia, started in the Cimice grove in Prague with the participation of competitors from France, Austria, the German Democratic Republic and the German Federal Republic, in addition to those from Czechoslovakia. The competitors terriers and dachshunds were hunting foxes and badgers in an artificial U-shaped lair and the criteria were time limits. For the catching of a fox the time limit was 15 minutes for a dachshund and ten minutes for a terrier. Light signals along the entire length of the lair permitted spectators and jury, alike, to follow closely the dog's work.
