Aug. 30, 1961 - Birgitte regains her record: Twenty-two-year old Birgitte Kyvsgaard this week caught a 317-kgs tuna..thereby once again being the holder of the record for women. She held the European championship with her catch of a big one last September, but lost it temporarily to her mother, another member of the Scandinarian Tuna Club.
