Flags of the disbanded regiments at Les Invalides, Paris
Nov. 11, 1967 - The 49th anniversary of the victory of 2 November 1918 was celebrated at the Arc de Triomphe. Flags from disbanded regiments marched from Les Invalides to the Arc de Triomphe. After placing flowers on the tomb of the unknown soldier, President de Gaulle, surrounded by M. Georges Pompidou and Pierre Messmer, returned to the statue of Georges Clemenceau. Here the flags of the disbanded regiments are pictured leaving the Invalides at 9:30 in the morning
