Oct. 10, 1959 - The Federal flag since Oct. 7th flutters on the Reichstag Dr. Eugen Gerstenmaier (EUGEN GERSTENMAIER), President of the Bundestag has given order that, starting from Oct.7th, 1959, the federal flag of West-Germany is to be put up on the building of the Reichstag, right at the border between East- and West-BerIin. o.p.s. in front the new flag of East-Germany bearing hammer and compass, on top of the Brandenburg Gate, and behind - on the right - the Reichstag with the federal flag
