Flame thrower demonstrated, Small Arms School, Hythe
Feb. 02, 1953 - New style of weapons at small arms school. Demonstrated during the centenary celebrations. Many new and old style weapons were demonstrated today at the Small Arms School, which was formed at Hythe in Kent, under the name School of Musketry in 1653 when the school celebrated its 100th anniversary. Some of the early weapons were contrasted with their modern counterparts. Photo shows an Ack-Pack portable flame thrower in action during the demonstration at the school today
