Fleischhack and Beger on trial for war crimes, Frankfurt

Oct. 10, 1970 - Five men put on trial for aiding murder of 115: During proceedings which started at a jury court at Frankfurt, Germany, dreadful details of a Nazi concentration camp crime became known. According to them, 115 camp prisoners were murdered because the Research Institute - Ancestor Heritage - of SS-leader Heinrich Himmler needed their skeletons for research. The Ancestor Heritage - dealt in researches of the Teutonics. In these proceedings are charged with aiding the murders: commercial clerk Wolf-Dietrich Wolff, Hanover (57), merchant Bruno Beger, Frankfurt (79) and assistant professor Hans Fleischhacker, Frankfurt (58). Beger and Fleischhacker are charged with selecting the 115 prisoners - mostly Jews - at the concentration camp Auschwitz for the Ancestor Heritage, who were then murdered at the concentration camp Natzweiler, Alsace.
