Sep. 05, 1954 - Sir Winston Churchill Presents trophy: The Prime minister, Sir Winston Churchill, Honorary Air Commodore of NO. 615 (County of Surrey) Squadron, Royal Auxiliary Air Force, this afternoon presented the Esher Trophy to the Squadron at RAF. Station, Biggin Hill. The Esher Challenge Trophy is awarded annually to the most efficient fighter Squadron of the R.Aux A.F. This is the first time that No. 615 by Squadron has won the trophy.
