Mar. 24, 1953 - 24-3-53 Originated in Chile New plant at Kew Gardens. Keystone Photo Shows: Puya Berteroniana seen at Kew Gardens this morning. It was presented to the Gardens by Col. J. Harrison about a week ago. This plant was raised from seed by the Colonel and originated in Chile. It has bloomed only twice since 1927. The plant is being attended this morning by Mr. McDonald of Kew
