THE HUGE TRUNK OF THE OLD ELM WAS THE HIDING PLACE OF A SOLDIER DURING THE FRENCH REVOLUTION IN 1789. THE SOLDIER WHO WAS FED BY THE NEIGHBOURING FARMERS STAYED IN HIDING DURING MANY DAY1 AND WHEN HE LEFT HE FORGOT TITS GUN IN THE TRUNK WHICH WAS FOUND LATER.
