Sep. 14, 1965 - Royal National rose society autumn show; Pride of place at the Royal National Rose Society's autumn show is by custom reserved for the current winner of the President's International trophy. This year the coveted award, together with a Gold Medal, has gone to a deep lemon yellow M.T. variety raised by 38 year old Patrick Dickson of Newtownards, near Belfast. The new rose, which is making its first public appearance at the Show has been named Grandpa Dickson, as a tribute to the raiser's father, the International rosarian, Alex Dickson himself a previous winner of this premier award.
