Flying De Pauls, Australian acrobats in London

Feb. 29 These young ladies simply fly through the air. Australian acrobatic experts in London. They call themselves the Flying De Pauls - Nancy Jennifer Cherie Marilyn, Beverley Shirley and Beverley Biackwood - because they veritably do fly through the air for most of their exciting act as girl tumblers and equilibrists on the stage of the Prince of Wales Theatre. These six girls, all coming from Australia to make their name on the stage display strength, agility, dash and daring. Soon they are to start off on a European tour, but already one of them, 21 year old Beverley Johnson, has become engaged. All the girls work under the senior 33 year old Nancy De Paul, who is responsible for the act and the training, in spite of the speed of the act and the split second timing called for - up to now the girls have not had a single spill. photo shows members of the Flying De Pauls during their act at the Prince of Wales theatre
