Flying Saucer hovercraft demonstration, Eastney
Jun. 06, 1959 - Britain's Flying Saucer Takes Part in Airborne and Seaborne Landing Demonstration. The Saunders Roe Hovercraft today took part in the three services demonstration Runaground X at Eastney, Portsmouth. The demonstration is designed to show staff College students some of the problems of amphibious operations. The hovercraft flew from Cowes, Isle of Wight, for the demonstration.
