Feb. 29 Ford Motor Company's Model 4500 and 4400 industrial tractors pack nearly 15 percent more horsepower and increased load-lift capacities as part of improvements and new features in the Company's new lineup of industrial tractors and equipment. The lifting power of Ford's 15 foot backhoe has been increased 11 percent from 4, 050 to 4, 500 pounds. Tearned with Ford's Model 4400, 735 loader, the lifting power has been upped to 3, 050 pounds. The new 4400 also new offers 6 x 4 manual reversing transmission, which adds a greater spread of working speed ratios for increased loader and backfilling production, numerous engineering improvements and new operator comfort and convenience features
