Foreign Office security notice, hide sensitive documents

Jul. 07, 1961 - Warning about window cleaners in sensitive areas part of security measures as navy to get new £3, 000 a year Spy catcher.: Still shaken up by recent security leaks, the Navy is to get a new security department with its own £3, 000 a year director. This was announced by Lord Carrington, the first Lord, in the Lords yesterday during the Navy Estimates debate. Photo shows a security notice at the Foreign Office: a warning to hide papers from window cleaners with possibly prying eyes. Even such common sense measures would come under the supervision of the new head spycatcher proposed for the Navy
