Oct. 29, 1956 - French Gas-Turbine helicopter in rescue mission. In the Wallberg region near Tegernsee a French gas-turbine helicopter named Alouette II performed with the German mountain rescue service. Alouette II, in contrast to motor driven helicopters, is vibration-free. It also consumes less fuel that it's motor-driven cousins. 2 wounded people can be fixed to the side. 3 people can ride in the helicopter itself, and the pilot and a doctor can sit in the cockpit.
