May 05, 1964 - New Lights for the Place De L'Etoile: the Place De L'Etoile in Paris is one of the most popular place in the world, with the arch of Triumph and its view on the Champs-Elysess yesterday evening, New Light will Permit Parisians and tourists to disocver it under new aspects at night 24 Lampposts have been planted around the place. Each with four lamps at a Hieght of 30 feet. The light do not Amper on those which are used for the arch of triumph, and parisians say they are delighted with the new effect. Mr. Jean Auburtin, president of the Municipal Council, and prefect raymond. Haas-picard inaugurated the new lights while thousands of onlookers watched from the oncoming avenues.
