A journey to the past was done by FRANCOIS MITTERRAND, The French leader of the socialists and candidate for presidency, FRANCOIS MITTERRAND travelled to the DDR on March 5th, 1981, From there he wanted to drive once again those route, which he has covered 1941 after the escape out of a NS-labour camp near Rudolstadt - which lead his over Nuremberg to Rothenburg o, d, Tauber. At this journey of remembrance Mitterrand was joined by the West German SFD-chairman Willy Brandt JPs: WILLY BRANDT and FRANCOIS MITTERRAND at a welcome in the city hall of Nuremberg
