Dec. 26 Bavaria Honours The Dynasty Wittelsbach: Beginning from this week Bavaria honours the dynasty of Wittelsbach. The family Wittelsbach, 800 years ago, on September 16th, 1180, received the Bavarian honour of the title Duke, from Emperor Barbarossa. In three great exhibitions, two in Munich and one in Landshut at the Trausnitz Castle, in more than 2300 exhibits the role of the house Wittelsbach as co creator of the Bavarian state was honoured. A ceremony in the Munich national theater opened, some days ago, the celebration festivities.
