Jun. 06, 1969 - The election campaign for the Federal Diet elections started in Munich on 13th June by the CSU (Christian Social Democrats) Party meeting. Franz Josef Strauss, Federal Chancellor of the Exchequer and Party chairman opened the meeting, to which more than 600 delegates and about 1500 guests arrived at the Bavarian capital. During the CSU congress the delegates will be discussing problems of currency and finance, science, economy, social safety, as well as foreign and safety policies. On the second day the Bavarian Prime Minister Alfons, CSU chairman Strauss, and Federal Chancellor Kiesinger are expected as speakers. The party meeting will end on 14th June.
