Franz Josef Strauss, German politician, with clarinet

Dec. 15 VOTING OF CDU /CSU PARLIAMENTARY GROUP: STRAUSS THE TOGETHER CANDIDATE FOR CHANCELLOR FOR 1980. To dance to his tune should do the electors on the Bundestag election in the year 1980, so the intention of the CDU/CSU parliamentary-group. On July 2nd it was steady: The Prime Minister of Bavaria and strong man of the Union, Franz Josef Strauss, seen here playing a clarinet, succeeded against his colleague and concurrent of Lower Saxony Ernst Albrecht in the voting for a together candidate for Chancellor for the elections in the year 1980, with 135 votes against 1022 votes. Probably in the fights of the last weeks the political director from Upper Bavaria had found the right tunes for his parliamentary group members, also from the CDU. Now it's to wait for, that in the coming struggles he isn't getting out of breath. CDU = Christian-Democratic-Union, CSU = Christian-Social-Union
