Today, November 19th 1976, the Majority of the 50 present OSU Members of the Federal Diet have decided in Wildbad Kreuth to split from the factional union with the Christian Democratic Union and form an own group in the Next Federal Diet. This Decision of the Bavarian Party, which caused busy conference activities of the CDU, implies that the Social Democrats now form the largest parliamentary group and will provide the next President of the Federal Diet. The two Christian parties have had a united factional group since 1949
