Fritz Moravec and Hermann Buhl, mountaineers
Dec. 12, 1956 - Two famous mountaineers meet in Munich. Fritz Moravec born in Vienna was the head of the Austrian expedition which climbed the 8035 meters high Gasherbrum during the Himalaya - Karakorum expedition of this year. Fritz Moravec to follow an invitation of the King Toro of Uganda to do an expedition to the Rigon Mountains in the coming year 1957. In 1958 he intends to climb the world's most difficult mountain: the Dhaulagir at Central-Himalaya. Moravec intends to hold a colour-lantern-slide lecture about climbing of the Gasherbrum on Dec. 15 at the Deutsches in Munich. When he arrived in Munich he met Hermann Buhl who also climbed mountains over 8000 meters and both drank a beer together
