1956 - Funeral of Spanish Prince who was accidentally shot: Leading members of the Spanish aristocracy attended the funeral of the Infante Don Alfonso of Bourbon, the 14-year-old son of Don Juan, the Spanish Pretender, who was accidentally shot while cleaning a pistol with his elder brother, the Infante Don Juan Carlos, at their home in Estoril in Portugal, on Thursday. Don Alfonso was shot in the head and died within a few minutes.
