Nov. 25, 1963 - Washington D.C. USA - The shocking death of President Kennedy stood at the forefront of a period of political and social instability in the country and the world. His wife Jacqueline led the nation in mourning as the President lay in repose at the White House and then lay in state in the Capitol. The funeral service was held for the President at St. Matthew's Cathedral. He was buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
