Funeral of Lady Edwina Mountbatten, Portsmouth

Feb. 02, 1960 - Portsmouth, England, United Kingdom - The burial at sea of the late COUNTESS MOUNTBATTEN, of Burma, took place today from the frigate H.M.S Wakeful, at sea off Portsmouth. The body of the Countess was taken by road from Romsey to Portsmouth. The coffin containing the body of the late Countess Mountbatten being borne from the hearse to the frigate, after arriving at Portsmouth from Romsey today. On EARL MOUNTBATTEN's right arm are his daughters, LADY PATRICIA BRABOURNE and LADY PAMELA HICKS, between them is PRINCESS ALICE of Greece. On the Earl's immediate left is ADMIRAL SIR CHARLES LAMBE, First Sea Lord
