Funeral service for Lord Slim, Windsor Castle

Dec. 12, 1970 - Full Military Honours For Lord Slim: Windsor, England Lady Slim (second from right, fore-ground) wife of the late Field Marshal Lord Slim, slowly descends the steps of St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle here today after attending the funeral service for her husband who died on December 14th. Lady Slim is flanked by her daughter (on right) and her son, the new Lord Slim. Behind her (second from right, background) is the Earl Mountbatten of Burma. Field-Marshal Viscount Slim was afforded full military honours. He is best remembered as the Commander of the 14th Army against the Japanese in Burma
