Aug. 08, 1955 - Scotsman Flies to London to receive his 75, 000 pools Win: Mr Robertmirtle (54) of Nairn, near Inverness was flown to London today to receive his cheque of 75, 000 - which he won on the Littlewoods Treble chance this week. He was accompanied by his wife and the cheque was presented by Mr John William Hackett pilot of the record breaking Canberra aircraft which flew both ways across the Atlantic in a day - last week. Photo shows Mr and Mrs Mirtle with their cheque in London this evening
