Apr. 12 A 5000 year old game: For more than 5000 years now this game belongs to the most popular pass-times of the world. It has been invented by the Sumers in Mesopotamia three thousand years before Christ and is the predecessor of other games like the Abacus, the Tric-Trac and the Domino. This Serata'-game, so named by his propagator. Peter Ryhiner (o.p.) is a pure mathematical game based on the sumerian 12-system. It is incredible, that this game never came to Europe, although we can see on old greek representations Ajax and Achilles playing it during the siege of Troya! Now Mr. Ryhiner tries to popularize the Serata in Europe
