May 05, 1962 - Take your pick - in Petrol: The selection panel on a petrol pump supplying a choice of seven grades of petrol in Bournemouth. It is the first of a chain to be opened by Murco, an American-owned company. The pump is supplied by two tanks, one containing top and the other regular grade petrol. Various blends can be made with prices ranging from 4a 5d to 5a a gallon. Drivers will be encourage to experiment with the various blends until they find one just right for their car, thus saving money on higher octaine grades than their engines require
