Oct. 10, 1953 - Huge Crowd acclaims Franco in Madrid. A huge crowd of 350, 000 gathered in front of the National Palace in Madrid, to acclaim General Franco on the occassion of the 17th anniversary of his assumption of power in Spain. Special pleasure was shown by the crowd of Franco's recently signed pact with the United States and the conclusions of the Concordat with the Vatican.
