General Franklin Lucero of Argentina
Feb. 29 It has been announced that 58 year old General Franklin Lucero is the new strong man of General Peron's trouble ridden country. General Lucero, now regarded as the key man in the Argentine has taken command of the armed forces and the police. It is thought in some quarters that this move precludes the ousting of General Peron as President. Peron's troubles started with the expulsion from the Argentine of two Roman Catholic Church leaders, was followed by riots etc. and then the Pope excommunicated General Peron, putting the latter in a very difficult spot, as the Argentine Constitution states that the President must essentially be a Catholic. Peron claims he is still such. Keystone Photo Shows: General Franklin Lucero, the new strong man of the Argentine, leader of the Armed Forces and police
