General John Glubb, Glubb Pasha
Mar. 02, 1956 - Jordan's King Sacks Glubb Pasha A royal decree was issued in Amman, Jordan, today, terminating the services of General John Glubb as Chief of the General Staff of the Arab Legion. General Glubb Commander of the Legion since 1939, was replaced by his assistant, Brigadier Radi Inab. After the decree had been issued General Glubb left on his way home to London by air. The decree, issued by King Hussein, also ended the services of Colonel Patrick Coghill, Chief of the Intelligence Office, and Brigadier Hatton, an aide of General Glubb.
