General Smuts, godfather of baby, Hanover Square, London

Feb. 29 General Smuts becomes Godfather. General Smuts has become the Godfather of little Angela Petrina Hugo, the daughter of Group Captain and Mrs. Peter H. Hugo. Hugo who is only 25, is a veteran of the Battle of Britain and a well known South African air ace. He holds the DSO and DFC, with two bars. He could not attend the ceremony which took place at St. George's, Hanover Square - for he is now in the Mediterranean Theatre of War. Angela's mother, former Miss Angela Seeds, is a VD Nurse and comes from Anglesey, Wales.
