Nov. 11, 1960 - The new Deputy Leader of the Labour Party: The new Deputy Leader of the Labour Party is 46 years old Mr. George Brown, a lorry driver's son from Southwark. The result of the ballot among Labor M.P's showed that he had been elected by a majority of 63 votes. Mr. Brown got 146 votes and hi rival for the post, Mr. Fred Lee, got 83.
