Feb. 17, 1978 - Georges Marchais, leader of the French Communist Party, the PCF, spoke in front of thousands of militants and communist sympathisers in the Parisian region yesterday at the Exposition Park at Porte de Versailles. In his speech, he claimed that communist votes were essential for the Left to win the election
