Sep. 09, 1978 - Georgi Markov killed by Micro-Ball : Mr Georgi Markov, a 49 year-old BBC Broadcaster, who defected from Bulgaria, some years ago, and lived in London, who died a mysterious death some days ago, is now a murder inquiry, The police and scientists are convinced that Mr Markov who said he had been attacked by a man with a poisoned umbrella was injected with a minute metal ball containing a lethal substance that slowly killed him.
