German hop-queen, Wolnzach, Hallertau district
The German hop-queen was elected in Wolnzach (Hallertau district). Only the daughters of hop-planters were allowed to take part in the election, but they had to be at least 18 years old. 19-year-old Reserl Singer (L) won crown and sceptre which insignia were handed over to her by last year's hop-queen Magdalena Meyer (R).
