On Wednesday the Sample Fair of Hannover 1951 opened in the presence of the leading contemporary personalities of the country, the economy, and industries of both domestic and foreign lands. It had the participation of over 350 exhibitors from 20 European and foreign countries, which, along with over 1, 000 exhibiting, German firms took over an exhibition space of 600, 000 sqm. Brisk business activity was noticeable as early as the first day, and visitors mobbed the booths where rational news was provided.
